Circus Train at Trainworks

    Roll up! Roll up! Enjoy all the fun of the circus at Trainworks in the April school holidays. Enjoy daily performances and circus themed ‘make and take’ activities.



    The Circus Playground

    Join us under the inflatable Big Top for some circus fun. Try your hand at juggling, walking on stilts, pedalling a unicycle, spinning plates and balancing on a tight rope, all under the guidance of skilled instructors. The Circus Playground is colourful, educational and fantastic fun!
    Times: 10.30am – 3.30pm

    Steam Train Rides

    Take a ride on the steam train and imagine you’re travelling with the circus, off to the next destination.
    Departs: 11am, 12.30pm & 2pm.

    Circus Performances

    A brilliant combination of mime, slapstick, circus and magic, Mr Gorski’s act harks back to the era of the Circus Train and features seemingly impossible hat juggling and plate spinning tricks.

    Times: Thursday, Friday & Saturday – 11am & 1pm

    Sunday – 11am, 1.30pm & 3pm

    Circus Train "Make & Do"

    Free drop-in activities with a circus theme.
    Make circus finger puppets, a clown costume or put together your own circus train.

    Circus Train Display

    Up until the mid 20th century, travelling circuses were highly-anticipated arrivals in towns across Australia.
