Opening hours

Trainworks is open 7 days a week.
Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm
Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm

Closed on Good Friday and Christmas Day

Ticket prices

Combination entry including Ride Experience

This ticket includes a Steam Train ride during your visit to Trainworks. This ticket is valid on days when train rides are operating. Please click here to view what's on.

Family tickets

A family consists of 2 adults and up to 4 children

Children

'Child' ticket prices apply to school aged children. Children aged 4 and under are admitted free of charge with a paying adult.

Concessions

The following types of concessions qualify for concession pricing at Trainworks :

• Patrons with a Disability Pension entitlement
• Companion Card
• Student ID Card

Companion Card

Trainworks accepts companion card or its equivalent for carers of patrons with a disability or carers requirement. A carer will be admitted free of charge upon presentation of a companion card or equivalent. For more information on this program please visit http://www.companioncard.org.au.
 

Weather Conditions
 

Trainworks is open in all weather conditions and a large portion of the site is under cover in the case of rain or extreme heat.
In the Winter months of June to August, the weather conditions in Thirlmere can be quite unpredictable but most definitely chilly. We encourage you to bring warm clothing and a raincoat or umbrella.
In Summer, please ensure you bring a hat and sunscreen for outdoor activties - our large picnic area and great playground equipment will call to you!
